Kitchen Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation, chopping vegetables, preparing meats, and making sauces as required by the chef
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, clean prep areas and take care of leftovers
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
• Help with kitchen inventory and processing deliveries
• Work effectively within a team to ensure efficiency in the kitchen
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
• Requirements and skills
• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or similar role
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Manual dexterity able to handle kitchen utensils and appliances
• Strong team working and communication skills
• Physical strength and endurance to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
