Responsibilities

  • Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, and communicates findings and opportunities to clients
  • Work with and assist other senior members of the M&A Tax practice with various technical tax issues dealing with consolidated returns, S Corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies
  • Assist clients with reorganizations, bankruptcy emergence planning, out of court workouts, debt restructurings, tax basis, Earning and Profits, and Section 382 studies
  • Develop, motivate, and train team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university
  • Completion of all educational requirements for CPA licensure eligibility in the state of residence or completion of all requirements to sit for the Bar exam by the start date
  • At least four years of tax-related experience
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proven capability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within established deadlines and in accordance with firm and client standards
  • Clear, professional, and effective communication skills with firm personnel and clients, including in‑person, telephone, electronic, and written communication
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality in a fast‑paced, client service environment
  • Capacity to work effectively in a professional office setting, including prolonged computer use and operation of standard office equipment
  • Commitment to maintaining a consistent onsite presence during core business hours, with regular reporting to a firm office and travel to client sites as required (including reliable transportation)
  • Willingness to work extended and/or non‑standard hours during peak periods or as business needs require
  • Active professional accreditation, in process, or willingness and ability to obtain one of the following: CPA, EA, or licensed attorney
