Steel Fabrication Quality Inspector

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Previous experience in quality inspection, quality control, or manufacturing inspection.
• Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, and AISC standards.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience using common inspection equipment, including:
• Fillet weld gauges
• V-WAC gauges
• Tape measures
• Standard quality inspection tools
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.

Steel Fabrication Quality Inspector Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: First Shift Starting Pay: Up to $32.00 per hour (higher compensation may be available based on experience) Position Summary We are looking for an experienced Steel Fabrication Quality Inspector to support quality assurance activities within a structural steel manufacturing environment. This position focuses on inspecting fabricated steel products, weld quality, coatings, and materials to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and industry standards. This is a hands-on manufacturing role with most of the work performed on the production floor. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled shop and spending the majority of the day walking, standing, and inspecting fabricated components.
