Faculty of Engineering and Design The Faculty of Engineering & Design is a dynamic and diverse community consisting of four departments: Architecture & Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Intertwining with these departments are six innovative interdisciplinary research centres - including CBio - equipped to tackle the significant environmental, economic, and social challenges encountered by humanity. Our educational approach is guided by research and tailored to meet the broader demands of the industry. We are seeking an exceptional and qualified leader in bioengineering to drive academic excellence and innovation. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong track record of advancing scholarly fields and leading high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities and Requirements: A sustained record of publishing high-quality research outputs in Bioengineering or in closely related fields. A proven track record in securing major external funding and shaping ambitious research programmes. A strong international profile, with the ability to build global partnerships and deliver research and innovation that contributes to the University's ambitions for world-leading impact. Evidence of academic leadership in innovation and collaboration, with the ability to translate research into real-world impact. Strategic vision and the capability to lead and contribute to large-scale, interdisciplinary initiatives. A strong commitment to mentoring, people development, inclusion and institutional leadership.
