Reporting to the Team Lead, Closure, this role is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of area-based site closure programs focused on remediation, reclamation, and liability reduction activities to support the management of Strathcona's inactive liability and Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO). Essential Functions Lead the development and execution of site closure strategy, including program sequencing, budgeting, and delivery, with a focus on integrating complex and high-risk sites (e.g., contamination, regulatory-driven work) into overall plans. Manage progressive programs, including sites impacted by contamination, incomplete environmental assessments, or additional monitoring requirements. Coordinate environmental consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders across sites with evolving scope and closure requirements. Drive efficient field execution while balancing contractor constraints, cost pressures, and scope variability. Provide technical and administrative guidance to support planning, execution, and issue resolution across the closure portfolio. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets, maintaining alignment between scope, schedule, and cost. Deliver detailed and accurate reporting on project scope, schedules, budget status, and key risks. Oversee project administration and maintain audit-defensible documentation using internal systems and tracking tools. Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, landowners, and cross-functional teams. Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and HS standards.
