We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Strategic Finance Associate to join our Finance team. This is a critical role that will directly support board-level and investor-facing investment decision making and capital allocation strategy across the business. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in financial modeling and a passion for translating complex financial analysis into clear strategic narratives and actionable recommendations for internal and external audiences. A background in investment banking, private equity or management consulting is highly preferred. This role will partner closely with senior Finance leadership and other cross- functional roles.

Responsibilities

  • Long-Range Financial Modeling & Investment Analysis
  • Build and maintain complex financial models from scratch to support major capital allocation decisions, board presentations, investor updates and executive strategy sessions
  • Support annual planning, forecasting, and longrange planning with a focus on cost structure, operating leverage and spend efficiency
  • Build and maintain dynamic sensitivity models to assess potential outcomes, risks and return profiles
  • Translate scenario outputs into executive-ready narratives that inform resource allocation and strategic prioritization
  • Corporate Development & Investor Support
  • Support M&A business and financial diligence efforts, including target valuation analysis, return modeling and synergy assessment
  • Conduct market and competitive research to support strategic investment decisions and growth initiatives
  • Assist in creation of investor presentations, earnings support packages and shareholder communications
  • Business Partnering:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand financial performance and provide modeling and forecasting support.
  • Scenario Planning & Ad-Hoc Analysis:
  • Develop and analyze various financial scenarios to assess potential outcomes and risks. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic projects.
  • External Communication Support:
  • Assist in the preparation of investor materials, presentations, and analyses for external discussions as needed.
  • Desired Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree or CFA a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity or management consulting, with direct exposure to building financial models for external executive and investor audiences; prior in-house strategic finance experience at a SaaS or technology company a plus.
  • SaaS Expertise: Deep understanding of key SaaS metrics, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and the drivers of value in a subscription-based business model.
  • Financial Modeling Prowess: Expert-level proficiency in financial modeling with a proven ability to build robust, scalable and dynamic models from scratch.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, concise and actionable insights.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to understand the broader business context and how financial decisions impact overall company performance.
  • Tools: Proficiency with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, Vena Solutions) and business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proactive & Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
