As a Senior Executive in Business Development, you will become the commercial bridge between our customers and our creative and technical teams. Every customer engagement begins with understanding a customer's business, products, aspirations and market before working collaboratively to transform ideas into commercially successful fragrance solutions. This is not a traditional sales role focused solely on transactions or revenue targets. It is a consultative commercial role where success comes from building trusted customer relationships, identifying opportunities, coordinating fragrance development projects and helping customers develop products that consumers enjoy. Working alongside experienced Perfumers, commercial professionals and cross-functional teams, you will gain exposure to fragrance applications, consumer products, market trends and regional business environments while developing your commercial capability within one of the most specialised sectors of the FMCG industry. Who We Want Besides possessing an academic qualification in a business-related discipline and at least 3 years of business development, sales or account management experience within a non-perishable FMCG B2B environment, you enjoy building relationships and are genuinely interested in understanding how businesses grow, how products are developed and how consumer preferences influence markets. More importantly, you are someone who takes ownership of your own development. Rather than waiting for structured training or someone to tell you what to do, you actively seek knowledge, ask questions, observe, explore and continuously build your understanding of products, customers and markets. You recognise that success in a specialised industry comes from curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn through experience. You are comfortable working in a dynamic SME environment where priorities evolve, expectations are high and individuals are trusted to take ownership of outcomes. You remain organised while managing multiple customer projects, communicate confidently with customers and colleagues, and respond positively to constructive feedback. You are resilient when faced with setbacks, persistent in following through on customer commitments, and motivated by achieving long-term business outcomes rather than simply closing the next transaction. While experience within the fragrance, flavours, ingredients or related manufacturing industries would be advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates from other non-perishable FMCG B2B industries who possess strong commercial curiosity, a genuine interest in understanding consumer products and markets, and the discipline to continuously build their product, application and market knowledge.
