About the role
This role will support the volunteering team to develop and expand volunteering opportunities in Yorkshire, primarily in the student population. You will liaise with services to find potential volunteer vacancies and educate staff about the value of volunteering. You will also engage with people interested in volunteering to ensure that everybody is offered a chance to volunteer with us. This role requires proficiency in information technology and confidence in using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Word). Tasks may include: Managing a database of people interested in volunteering and distributing vacancies based on individuals' experience, interests and areas of study. Visiting services to share the value and rewards of recruiting volunteers. Planning and/or attending events at universities, colleges or other external organisations. Support in running volunteer training online or in person.
