About the role
In this role you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical care in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to assist us in our busy Physiotherapy Department both in outpatients and inpatients on the bank. The main scope wold be ward based, weekend cover with an option for weekday evenings in the outpatients. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven skills in the management of musculoskeletal disorders and inpatient experience, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can work alone and as part of the team. In return we offer a very friendly working environment where you will be supported by the Physiotherapy Manager, inpatients team lead and the other Senior Physiotherapists. We receive referrals from GP's and consultants as well as self-referrals. These provide a stimulating case mix with a bias towards acute musculoskeletal injuries and postoperative orthopaedic rehabilitation. You'll get to enjoy working in a close multi-disciplinary team where there is real respect and a drive for high quality, evidence based safe patient care in an innovative modern working environment. You will benefit from a varied surgical caseload which will broaden your skills and experience as well as support and training opportunities. What you'll bring with you: - Experience of working with orthopaedic and MSK patients - Inpatient experience of elective orthopaedics, Gynaecological and general surgery - Proven ability to work in a team or independently - Knowledge of CSP Standards of Physiotherapy Practice - A friendly outgoing personality, commitment and flexibility - Great communication skills and highly organised - Good IT skills - The ability to make decisions and use own initiative Desirable: - Acupuncture and or pilates - Experience in hand therapy, women's health or paediatrics.
