Summary of the Role This position is responsible for development of marketing strategy / plan and promotional activities including conferences / seminars, development of marketing collaterals, etc., and oversees their execution. The position develops value add proposition and provides inputs for branding of new and existing products. The position is also responsible for market research and providing relevant inputs for business planning and opportunity identification for business development / sales. Key Functions / Responsibilities 1. Market Research and Support for Business Planning To undertake market research and analyse trends in terms of competitor activities / market share, new products in the market, product usage, customer preferences, performance of TIS products, customer feedback, current growth patterns, etc. To review and provide reports on market research to Business Unit Leader (TIS) and the Sales Team, as required To draw insights from the market research to provide relevant inputs in terms of product mix, scope for market expansion in geographies, etc. to the Business Unit Leader (TIS) for formulation of business strategy and plans To formulate policies on products to incorporate profitability requirements like product mix, competitive pricing, etc. with inputs from the Sales Team of TIS, and seek approval on product mix and pricing options from the Business Unit Leader (TIS) To provide inputs to the Sales Team for identification of new opportunities for business development, based on the market research 2. Marketing & Branding To understand the products / offerings of TIS Business, their usage, benefits, key decision makers at Hospitals, etc. To draw from the knowledge of TIS Business in the Philippines to develop Marketing and Promotion strategies and plans that create a strong brand recall among key stakeholders in Hospitals like Surgeons, Hospital Administration, Purchase, etc., to fuel business development efforts, in consultation with Business Unit Leader (TIS) and Terumo's Regional Marketing Manager To guide the team in execution of Marketing plans and Promotion activities To develop value-add propositions and branding for new or existing products with inputs from the Marketing and the Medical Affairs team To ensure that branding of Terumo as an organization is consistent with the global branding guidelines To monitor and manage marketing expenses and ensure adherence to the Marketing budget; To highlight deviations (if any) to Business Unit Leader (TIS) for approval 3. Promotional Events and Training Programs To plan for and oversee the execution of events, conferences, training programs and other engagement activities to promote TIS business To ensure development of marketing / promotional material (literatures / brochures etc.), and other collaterals for existing and new products, with inputs on product technicalities from Medical Affairs team To undertake vendor development and negotiations with marketing vendors for development of brochures, marketing kits, and other collaterals, with the support of Finance Team To ensure participation of KOLs and other key influencers in events, training programs, and other engagement activities, with the support of the Sales, Marketing and Medical Affairs Team To regularly review the impact of Marketing and Promotional activities and undertake corrective actions, under the guidance of Business Unit Leader (TIS) Education & Experience Education: Bachelors in Science or Technology, MBA (or equivalent qualification) in Sales and Marketing Experience: 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in Marketing / Product / Brand Management; Experience in Medical devices or related industry would be preferred Note to External Recruitment Agencies: Terumo does not recognize candidate submissions from any recruitment agencies and will not be responsible for payment of any recruitment fees due to the hiring of candidates whose resumes were submitted to Terumo employees or offices without the recruiting team's acknowledgement.
