Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

You will help build reliability and maintainability into new and rebuilt production equipment before it reaches manufacturing. In this role, you work in an advanced automotive environment where production quality, uptime and long-term performance are critical from the start. You join projects early and bring a mechanical maintenance perspective into concept, design and delivery. That means influencing how equipment is designed, reviewed, accepted and prepared for operation, so the right maintenance setup is in place before handover. You will work close to suppliers, project teams and production stakeholders, with real impact on how future equipment performs in daily operations. Job DescriptionYou work closely with suppliers to ensure reliability and maintainability strategies, standards and specifications are met. You take part in concept and design reviews to verify that solutions align with agreed technical specifications related to reliability and maintainability. You prepare and carry out mechanical inspections during delivery acceptance. You support spare parts preparation and help ensure spare and wear parts are available in stock. You create preventive maintenance plans and develop instructions for mechanical maintenance, including operator maintenance activities. You secure the structure and content of maintenance documentation so it supports efficient operation and long-term upkeep.
