Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
• Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
• Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health

Requirements

• Prior Dental experience required
• Periodontic & Implant experience required
• Experience with Dentrix highly preferred
• Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
• X-ray certification where state regulations specify

• Working conditions include those typically seen in an office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
