Job Description Summary: Provides assistance to the surgical staff and physicians during dental surgical procedures, ensuring availability and proper handling of the instruments, supplies, and equipment. Requirements

  • Demonstrates manual dexterity.
  • Demonstrates versatility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrates a theoretical and clinical ability to conform to standards of asepsis and infection control.
  • Possess ability to hear and respond appropriately to surgeon and co-worker requests.
  • Demonstrated and documented competency in the scrub role
  • One year of Dental Assistant experience, required.
  • Operating or delivery room experience, preferred.

  • Additional Physical Requirements performed but not listed above:
  • Must be able to stand a minimum of 5 hours consecutively, frequently.
  • Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
