About the role
The Supervisory IT Specialist (Chief Data Platform Architect) position is in the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, Case Management Modernization Office (CMM). Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience must demonstrate experience in ALL areas defined below: Leading enterprise data platform modernization for large-scale analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and cloud operations. Directing cross-functional teams in designing scalable and secure enterprise data ecosystems. Advising executive leadership on data strategy, governance, and modernization initiatives. Developing enterprise architecture standards and cloud adoption strategies aligned with organizational goals. Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience: 10+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, or cloud data engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Deep expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud data services and data transformations. Proven experience managing high-sensitivity or regulated data (e.g., judicial, law enforcement, or Personally Identifiable Information (PII)). Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data access management, and Change Data Capture (CDC) methods. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business functions.
