In this role, you will design and implement radiation treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific medical needs, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance at every stage. You will also provide direction to radiation therapy staff and play a key role in quality assurance and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan precise radiation treatment techniques as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Ensure reproducibility of treatment setup and plan delivery through simulations and quality checks.
  • Perform intracavitary, interstitial implant, and brachytherapy planning and execution.
  • Conduct routine chart audits and quality control measures to maintain treatment accuracy.
  • Provide technical instruction and education to Radiation Therapists and Dosimetry trainees.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Document treatment plans, perform dose calculations, and collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team throughout the treatment process.
  • Participate in special projects related to emerging technologies and techniques.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from a medical dosimetry program accredited by JRCERT.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience in Medical Dosimetry.
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Certification by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (CMD).
  • Proficiency in radiation safety standards and medical dosimetry techniques.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including algebra, physics, and pre-calculus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and treatment planning software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
