Responsibilities
- Benefits Operations & Compliance
- Help keep our medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness plans running smoothly
- Support compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and other regulations
- Assist with annual filings (5500 forms), audits, and compliance testing
- Jump in wherever needed - we're big fans of team players and utility hitters
- Vendor & Partner Collaboration
- Work closely with vendors, carriers, consultants, and internal teams
- Keep an eye on service levels and help resolve issues when they pop up
- Take part in RFPs and vendor evaluations
- Speak up, ask questions, and share ideas - we value fresh perspectives
- Data, Insights & Problem Solving
- Dig into claims data and trends to uncover opportunities for improvement
- Build dashboards and reports that tell a story
- Help with budgeting and forecasting
- Stay curious and always look for smarter, more efficient ways to work
- Employee Experience & Communication
- Help create clear, engaging communications for employees (open enrollment, wellness campaigns, etc.)
- Assist with more complex benefit questions when needed
- Bring a people-first mindset and a willingness to learn the ins and outs of benefits
- Projects & Teamwork
- Support or lead benefit projects like plan updates or system implementations
- Collaborate closely with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and HRIS teams
- Stay flexible and adaptable as priorities shift
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in health and welfare benefits (self-insured experience is a plus)
- Solid understanding of benefits compliance and regulations
- Comfortable working in Excel, HR systems (Workday, ADP), and with data
- Eager to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, proactive, and not afraid to raise your hand
- Organized, detail-oriented, and great at juggling multiple priorities

- Compensation: The salary range for this role is $85,000-$100,000 , depending on experience and qualifications.
- Work Style: This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to be in the office at least three days per week. Schedule may vary based on business needs.
