Posted Job Title Resource Technologist B Job Profile Title Resource Technologist B Job Description Summary The Resource Technologist will support translational research within a highly technical resource laboratory. This position requires a college degree, preferably in science, and a minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in an analogous laboratory setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This individual works within a team of resource technologists to perform whole slide imaging, DNA/RNA extractions, microtomy, special stains, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and in situ hybridization in the Center. In this role, the technologist is expected to apply strong scientific judgment, drawing on both personal expertise and collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality results. The team member will track specimens, follow SOPs, maintain accurate records, manage reagents, document experimental details, and ensure quality control, while also contributing to troubleshooting routine issues and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Experience in pathology with clinical samples is desirable. Tasks are complex and involve advanced robotic equipment. The role requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously and following instructions accurately as part of a team in a client focused environment. Excellent communication, meticulous record keeping, and strong time management skills are essential. The candidate will report to the project manager of the Center.
