Assistant Test Engineer

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the consumer products, construction, manufacturing, or built-environment industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good work ethic; comfortable in a fast-paced environment and physically able to handle bulky items.
• Familiarity with BCA/PUB requirements, WELS and Safety Mark compliance, ISO standards, and lab equipment calibration.

Additional Information

Job Description: Coordinate and manage ECO/ERO approvals to ensure timely implementation of engineering changes. Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) testing and prepare full FAIR documentation for new products. Assist with product certification processes, including in-progress applications. Perform internal R&D testing (mechanical and electronic) and prepare comprehensive test reports. Set up and install products for testing, including physical setup and functional validation. Deliver product and standards training/updates for new hires and the sales team. Conduct load testing; lift and carry heavy items/equipment as required. Manage R&D lab equipment; ensure regular calibration and maintenance in line with ISO standards.
