The position will prepare legal documents or correspondence; draft or review material related to rules, regulations, and procedures; provide legal advice and counsel to the RHTP Steering Committee and RHTP Office staff on a wide variety of matters including, but not limited to, data use, contracts and procurement, confidentiality, grant compliance; and review contracts and procurement opportunities. This position will perform a variety of legal functions such as researching, summarizing, and evaluating motions, petitions, transcripts, and briefs, identifying legal issues, comparing law and developing relevant information from different sources to address various legal issues, providing analysis, interpretation, and advice on a variety of administrative law issues. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $91,249 - $159,686 Recruitment Range: $91,249 - $115,880 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred: - Experience advising on federal grant compliance under 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance), including cost principles, audit requirements, subrecipient monitoring, and pass-through entity obligations. - Experience handling civil, administrative, or appellate litigation. - Demonstrated ability to draft legal opinions, memoranda, and regulatory interpretations; experience representing clients before administrative or quasi-judicial bodies. - Strong legal research and writing skills.
