About the role
We are seeking a Student Management Aide to support student discipline, developmental guidance, detention and suspension administration, student monitoring, and related documentation in a structured school environment. Responsibilities
- Developmental Discipline Coordination
- Supervise and support students serving detention or suspension from Mondays to Fridays, including after-school hours.
- Implement, monitor, and administer detention and suspension procedures to ensure consistency and proper follow-through.
- Follow up with defaulters and reinforce accountability, appropriate behaviour, and reintegration into school routines.
- Maintain and compile detention records, attendance data, and discipline documentation.
- Liaise with Form Teachers on detention and suspension attendance outcomes.
- Discipline Room Operations
- Support the management of late-coming students during morning arrival periods.
- Maintain and update Discipline Room records, including handphone confiscation logs, late-coming records, and attendance entries in the school data management system.
- Attend to student drop-ins at the Discipline Room.
- Liaise with teachers, Year Heads, Heads of Department, and school management as required.
- Case Management and Follow-Up
- Collaborate with the Student Management Team to monitor student development following disciplinary measures.
- Refer and update relevant discipline personnel on potential issues identified through observation or information received.
- Conduct follow-up actions with students after investigations, including monitoring in-house suspension, after-school detention, and assignment completion.
- Maintain daily sign-in and sign-out records for students on movement monitoring.
- Developmental Discipline Practices
- Work with the Head of Department for Student Management to design and implement structured learning tasks and behavioural interventions.
- Support teachers in working with students who require additional behavioural guidance, using restorative and relationship-based approaches.
- Actively monitor non-structured school hours, including recess and post-school periods, to help prevent disruptive behaviour.
- Collaborate with the Student Management Team on disciplinary and late-coming data to support preventive and proactive interventions.
- Examinations and Term Break Support
- Support school and national examination periods through school tone monitoring, escort duties, and student management at waiting areas during oral examinations.
- Assist in monitoring students under extended self-study and suspension programmes during term breaks.
- Maintain and compile records of routine non-compliance matters, including attire, grooming, late-coming, and handphone misuse.
- File and maintain student profiling records in accordance with school requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum GCE O-Level qualification.
- Experience working with youths in a school, community, or social service setting.
- Ability to manage records and documentation accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally with teachers, parents, and school management.
- Candidates must possess valid work authorisation in Singapore at the point of application.
- Preferred Competencies
- Prior teaching or school-based experience.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising youths who require behavioural support.
- Experience conducting disciplinary investigations and preparing reports for school management.
- Familiarity with school management systems and student databases.

- Work Arrangements
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7.30am to 4.30pm
- Fridays: 7.30am to 4.00pm
- Lunch Break: 30 minutes, inclusive
