About the role

The role is accredited for RACGP Extended Skills Post and is ideal for GPT 3 and above registrar position. The role is also suitable for physician training and/or Emergency Training. Those who are interested in physician or Emergency Medicine are strongly encouraged to apply. The role is well supported by daily consultant supervision and rounding. You will work closely with HITH consultant, Resident Medical Officer and Senior Nurses to provide care for patients in HITH. There is no afterhours for the role. The department medical consultants provide at least bi-weekly training and education in addition to hospital education and training. There is opportunity for the role to join other specialty rotations in 2027.   • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
  • Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
  • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health's policy.
