About the role
IT Support Engineer Primary Responsibilities: Provide first-line user liaison and helpdesk support during office hours and after office hours if needed. Keeping user informed on request status and progress Provide support to VoIP, network infrastructure on both Client's Premises and Data Centre. Troubleshooting Linux, Windows, network, and relevant infra stack. Liaise with vendors and other functional teams for problem resolution. Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies when required. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems. Qualifications and Skills Required: Technical Skills- Higher NITEC Certificate or Diploma in IT/Computer/Network or equivalent. Basic understanding of packet capture tools like tcpdump & Wireshark for troubleshooting server network issues. Knowledge of basic VoIP Technologies such as SIP, WebRTC, RTP will be an advantage. Basic networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, NAT) Knowledge of cloud Technologies / AWS will be an advantage Ability to self-learn, acquire new skills, and support new systems and applications Essential Skills- Well organized team player with good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent analytical skills and high level of aptitude. Independent, passionate, resourceful and able to work with minimum supervision.
