Job Description: BW Papersystems is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for machine, building and grounds maintenance and repair; electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance and repair; heating and air conditioning installation, maintenance and repairs; millwrighting; crane operation and similar services throughout the plant, offices and grounds. The Maintenance Associate will also order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic inspections of firefighting equipment, cranes, slings, and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain all necessary records; maintain all service facility drawings, sketches and records in an up to date, on demand condition.
  • Eliminate safety hazards; maintain equipment and working areas in good, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Functional/technical skills in industrial maintenance; familiar with machine shop operations, high voltage electrical and mechanical building codes and regulations; knowledge of EPA and OSHA requirements.
  • Solid understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM); understanding of continuous improvement philosophy; innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with assignments given in broad, general objectives and limits.
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be able to independently solve problems while interfacing with all levels of organization in a professional environment.
  • Proficiency with computer-based programs like Microsoft 365 programs
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5 years of working experience within a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years of experience of machine tool knowledge or machine shop experience
