Entity: Production & Operations Job Family Group: Engineering Group Job Description: Job Summary: Candidate will act as a senior static mechanical engineer supporting a live gas processing business with responsibility across pressure systems integrity, operations support, maintenance, anomaly management, and brownfield project delivery. The role focuses on safe containment, equipment condition, code compliance, and sound engineering judgment for static equipment throughout its lifecycle. Candidate will support piping systems, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, fired heaters, valves, and other pressure-retaining equipment, and work closely with operations, inspection, maintenance, materials, corrosion, and project teams to keep the plant safe, reliable, inspectable, and maintainable. Job Responsibilities: - Provide senior static mechanical engineering support on equipment condition, degradation, fitness-for-service concerns, technical risk, and safe operating decisions for pressure systems and static equipment. - Deliver independent engineering judgment on piping, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, valves, and other static equipment exposed to corrosion, wall loss, cracking, fatigue, leakage, or other integrity threats. - Review and assess inspection findings, operating envelope excursions, anomaly reports, and repair options, and define practical recommendations for continued operation, monitoring, repair, replacement, or shutdown intervention. - Support and govern integrity assessments, including fitness-for-service reviews, remaining life evaluations, critical thickness checks, and pressure system technical justifications where required. - Translate inspection and integrity data into clear, risk-based engineering actions and ensure findings are converted into executable maintenance, repair, or monitoring plans. - Support anomaly assessment and tracking by reviewing anomaly status, risk ranking, progress to closure, and the need for escalation or further engineering action. - Support management of technical change by providing static mechanical discipline input to MoCs, engineering queries, temporary repairs, reroutes, tie-ins, package modifications, and brownfield project scopes. - Review and challenge design changes, deviations, concessions, materials selection, repair methods, and contractor proposals to ensure compliance with engineering standards and site requirements. - Ensure proposed modifications and repairs remain technically sound, safe to operate, inspectable in future, maintainable by site teams, and compatible with actual plant conditions. - Support shutdown and turnaround planning by defining static equipment repair scope, technical basis, inspection follow-up, execution requirements, and risk-based priorities. - Support failure investigations, leak events, loss-of-containment threats, defect elimination activities, and closure of significant integrity risks. - Provide technical input to operating procedures, safe operating limits, self-verification follow-up actions, and lessons learned arising from plant events or recurring integrity concerns. - Support Category C and brownfield project delivery by contributing to technical scopes, engineering deliverables, select/define/execute activities, and construction or commissioning queries within static mechanical scope. - Review vendor data, fabrication packages, QA/QC records, ITPs, repair dossiers, NDE plans, and contractor deliverables to confirm technical quality and compliance. - Help maintain and improve integrity systems, engineering workflows, and discipline practices through lessons learned, standardization, and continuous improvement. - Monitor static mechanical KPIs and use them to strengthen anomaly closure, risk reduction, and pressure systems integrity performance. - Provide technical coaching and informal leadership to less experienced engineers and support stronger discipline capability across the team. Job requirements: This role is available only for egyptian nationals. Proven expertise in the selection, installation, and maintenance of centrifugal pumps, screw compressors, and reciprocating engines. Demonstrable experience with condition monitoring techniques for mechanical equipment. In-depth knowledge of compressor shaft end seals and their related systems. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively ask for and give feedback. Experience in goal setting and managing performance. Demonstrated inclusive leadership and influencing capabilities. Travel Requirement Up to 10% travel should be expected with this role Relocation Assistance: This role is not eligible for relocation Remote Type: This position is a hybrid of office/remote working
