Responsibilities
- Installation & Wiring
- Install DDC control panels, conduit, field devices, sensors, actuators, and network cabling according to engineered drawings and specifications.
- Pull, terminate, and label control wiring in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Assist in mounting and connecting controllers, relays, and other control system hardware.
- Perform point-to-point checkout of installed devices to ensure proper operation.
- Support commissioning team during system startup, testing, and verification.
- Project & Field Support
- Work closely with Site Superintendent, and Senior Controls Installers to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide field feedback on drawings, wiring diagrams, and potential installation improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on job sites and within the warehouse.
- Ensure installations comply with local electrical codes, OSHA safety requirements, and company policies.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately record installation progress, material usage, and as-built changes.
- Submit daily/weekly progress updates to supervisors as required.
- Assist in preparing red-line drawings and turnover documentation
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in HVAC, electrical, or controls installation; prior DDC/building automation installation experience preferred.
- Current and valid driver's license
- Additional Qualifications:
- Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems, wiring practices, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school, apprenticeship, or technical certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in mechanical/electrical rooms and construction environments.
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and professionalism on job sites
