Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, inspect, and maintain transmission lines, overhead and underground distribution power systems.
  • Operate line construction equipment including bucket trucks, digger derricks, backhoes, loaders, track equipment, pullers, and tensioners.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Powerline Technician or registered/aspiring apprentice.
  • 1-3 years of powerline construction experience or relevant technical training.
  • Ability to work at heights, including climbing poles and lattice towers, and working from bucket trucks or lifts.
  • Knowledge of line construction methods, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or 3 preferred) with clear 3- year driver's abstract.
  • Physically capable of heavy lifting and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus.
  • Work Conditions
  • 14 days on, 7 days off, working 10-12 hour days. Overtime rates apply after 8 hours worked per day
