Senior Web Application Developer, finance (contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Web Application Developer with to join our team and help design, build and enhance secure, scalable web applications. This is a hands-on development role suited to someone who enjoys working across the full delivery lifecycle, collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders, and contributing to high-quality digital solutions in a structured, regulated environment. You will play a key role in delivering modern web applications and APIs, ensuring solutions are developed to agreed timelines, quality standards and architectural best practice. You will also bring a mindset of continuous improvement, helping to strengthen delivery processes and technical outcomes across projects. Key deliverables Conduct development activities such as coding, testing and documentation. Deliver technical solutions within the agreed time, cost and quality boundaries. Adhere to all established Software Lifecycle practices throughout the project. Identify opportunities for continuous improvements at both a delivery and project level. Liaise with business and I.T stakeholders such as Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Lead Solution Developer and Quality Assurance. Provide technical advice and guidance in the development of solutions 8+ years experience as a Web Application Developer. Previous experience working with banking systems and authorisations/supervisory systems within financial organisations. Thorough knowledge and experience of C#,.NET, .NET Core, Typescript & Javascript. Strong knowledge of Angular concepts and proven experience designing and implementing solutions using Angular SPA architecture. Knowledge of Angular application design best practices and patterns. Strong understanding and recent experience designing REST style API, and experience designing back-end for Single Page. Applications using C# and Microsoft WebAPI. Strong understanding of code release cycle through AzureDevOps pipelines. Previous experience working with banking systems and authorisations//supervisory systems within financial organisations. Diploma/degree qualification in IT. Excellent communications skills both written and verbal. Comfortable with a hybrid working arrangement.
