Design / Coordination Engineer

Responsibilities

• 3 - 5 years working experiences in the construction industry with background in both consulting firms and contractor firms
• Familiar with Euro codes and structural and geotechnical software.
• Conduct design calculations complying with euro-codes, local codes of practices and project specifications.
• Check and verify temporary work designs submitted by sub-contractors.
• Analyse and interpret technical data to ensure that designs meet project requirements and specifications.
• Proficient in using Micro-station and Bentley software.
• Closely work with in-house drafting team and co-ordinate with interfacing contractors to prepare and review the shop drawings.
• Resolve design and construction issues as they arise during the project.
• Update, keep and maintain design submission records / trackers and design meeting / discussion minutes to ensure that all work is completed on time and to the required quality standards.
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as external PEs and specialists, etc., to ensure that project goals are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree recognised by PEB Singapore in Civil, Structural or in a related field;
• 3-5 years working experience in large scale infrastructure projects
• Technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
