This position is critical to the success of FWG's partnership with the U.S. Navy. This position will manage all activities and the staff in an assembly function including a variety of product assembly operations on product components, assemblies and sub-assemblies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Manage the activities and staff in an assembly function including electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies - Follow methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing and welding/fitting on assembly units - Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications - Establish and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exact tolerances and dimensions - Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications - Determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup - Ability to use a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments - Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speed - Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining - Fit and assemble precision parts into mechanical equipment and determine material, parts, and equipment required - May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures - Develop and maintain professional, results-oriented relationships that strengthen FWG's reputation and support positive outcomes through documented communication, timely response, and issue resolution - Anticipate customer concerns and engage early to mitigate risk, resolve performance issues, and uphold FWG's record of quality and reliability - Ensure all personnel maintain required certifications, training, and clearance eligibility - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and mission focus across the team - Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned Requirements & Qualifications Education: - High School Degree Required - Associate's Degree in Electronics Technology, Information Technology or related technical field Required - Relevant Military Technical Training Program (ex.
