You will be working in the Infrastructure OU alongside our A47 Highways team in where our team brings design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places. In partnership with National Highways, we're shaping the future of travel at the A47 Thickthorn junction. Two new free-flowing slip roads will ease congestion and improve connections between the A47. We are currently looking for a Senior Planning Engineer who will develop, maintain and update the project programme to produce an accurate plan that manages time risk and that the project team and customer can trust. As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will: Develop and update the main project contract programme, ensuring it is of a high quality so that the programme suits the Project's, Skanska's and the Client's needs. Measure actual progress against short and long-term plans via value adding production control tools to provide a holistic view of project performance outputting high-quality reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights to project leadership. Focusing the project team's delivery against key project milestones by explaining the key drivers and follow-on dependencies to ensure delivery to plan. Lead the medium-term planning sessions alongside the delivery team to align with the main contract programme. Constructively challenges short-term programmes developed by the project team ensuring they are practicable and align with the main contract programme. We are looking for: Experience in the civils industry, ideally having worked on an RDP framework project in the Highways industry in a planning role. Experience of various methods of planning, programming, and progress monitoring ideally working for a Tier 1 construction contractor. Construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices. Understanding of various forms of construction documents, contracts and specifications.
