Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Perform daily cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of the parts inventory system.
- Ordering: Manage the end-to-end parts ordering process, including identifying necessary parts, generating purchase orders, and tracking shipments.
- Receiving: Inspect and accurately receive all incoming parts and materials, ensuring they match orders and meet quality specifications.
- Allocation & Distribution: Organize, store, and allocate parts to specific work orders and technicians on a daily basis to maximize shop efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all parts transactions, including warranties, returns, and core credits.
- Supplier Relations: Coordinate with various suppliers and vendors to manage lead times, pricing, and product availability.
- Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to parts storage, organization, and logistics procedures.
- Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience as a Parts Specialist or Parts Advisor in an automotive setting is highly preferred and ideal.
- Strong understanding of automotive parts, terminology, and inventory control procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
