Description of Work Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Supervisor II (Nurse Manager), this position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the resident care and certified nursing assistants of his/her group home on their assigned shift. The position is responsible for making decisions in collaboration with the Nurse Manager on the assigned shift to determine the proper course of action for the unit to function at its best. Employee will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes but is not limited to NCI (North Carolina Intervention), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Grade Range: $71,698 - $118,304 A Sign-on Bonus Of $10,000 May Be Offered To The Successful Applicant(s) Of This Posting, Contingent On The 2025-2026 Budget Approval. Per G.S. 126-5(c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7. This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events. We Will Be Recruiting For Multiple Positions With This Post. Shift Premiums for 8-hour shifts: Day: Saturday & Sunday 10% Evening: Monday-Friday 20%; Saturday & Sunday 30% Night: Friday - Sunday 30%; Monday-Thursday 20% Shift premiums for 12-hour shifts: Day: (7:00am-7:30pm) no premiums Evenings/Nights : (7:00pm - 7:30am) Monday - Friday 20%; Saturday & Sunday 30% Eligibility for Sign-on Bonus To qualify for the sign-on bonus, a newly hired permanent full -time or permanent part-time employee must work 30 - 40 hours per week to be eligible. Those who are eligible and working less than 40 hours a week will receive a prorated rate. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: The employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date) The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
