Responsibilities

  • to liaise and with all respective parties ie Client, Superintending Officer, Structural Engineer, M & E Engineer, Quality Surveyor, Main-Contractor, NSC if any, Government's Authorities and others related to the project
  • to monitor work in progress in according to Master Schedules with breakdown to Monthly, Weekly and preferably Daily programmes
  • preparation and submission works-in-progress reports to Superintending Officer on Weekly and Monthly monitoring
  • to study all Approved Construction Drawings issued by Superintending Officer, Structural Engineer and M & E Engineer and Specifications on any discrepancies
  • to ensure the Contractor's strictly complied to Specification codes, Approved Construction Drawings, Approved Shop Drawings, Approved Method Statement of Works as well as BCA requirements and other Statutory Boards compliance.
  • Ensure materials delivered on site are in according to specimen approved by Client's or Superintending Officer's approval during the presentation
  • Safety measures are to ensure all persons strictly working on the project must fully comply to Safety Rules & Regulations set by MOM and In-House Factory, Good house-keeping, clear obstruction free from access passage way and disposal of debris immediately to prevent cause from fire hazards
  • Seeking clearance by due date before it can be carried out
  • Standing supervision to all structural activities especially demolishing and connection to partial of existing building, piling, concreting and other high risks working activities on going
  • Pro-active inspection with early warning to contractors on site shall ensure good quality finishes to all trade during on going construction stages
  • Ensure defects to minimize and to rectified immediately before hand
  • Update of amended drawings and to record daily activities on site progress
  • Requirement:
  • Minimum 8 years of architectural experience with recognised education in relevant field.
  • At least 5 years experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in local context
  • Accredited with IES and supervision experiences including experiences in piling works, post-tensioning works, structural steel works and projects with road works, MRT station, deep excavation works.
