Responsibilities

  • Support and engage in our vision of improving lives

  • Be a disciple and leader of continuous improvement
  • Position Details:
  • Performs a wide range of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
  • Uses hand and power tools to accomplish these tasks
  • Light repair to machines and facility
  • Light fabrication of metal work and wood work
  • Painting of production equipment and facility
  • Moves production equipment in line changes
  • Changes lubrication and heat transfer fluids in production equipment
  • Maintains fans, compressors, air dryers, and chillers
  • Replaces lighting and ballasts as needed
  • Assists in companywide recycling program of materials and chemicals
  • Drives company vehicle to pick and parts and materials
  • Other maintenance related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 2 years experience in general maintenance work
  • Skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Must be able to drive the company vehicle
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role
  • Physical Demands:
  • Normal working conditions absent extreme factors
  • Must be able to see well enough to read reports, send emails, etc.
  • Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers and fellow employees
  • Must be able to lift up to 100lbs periodically
  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
  • Skills in identifying and resolving employee, customer and vendor problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, customers and vendors both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to organize daily activities of self and others
