The role supports the development of a comprehensive financial view of Canadian operations. The Cost Accounting Specialist also contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives and the implementation of best practices in accounting and financial analysis. Salary range 005: $84 600 to $105 800 (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.) What you will take ownership of on a daily basis: Actively participates in period-end close activities, including the preparation, support, and review of periodic, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for a category and department within Agropur Canada. Contributes to the development of analytical tools involving multiple databases, automation, optimization, and harmonization of reports. Produces various financial reports and performance indicators on a periodic, quarterly, and annual basis for senior management and the Board of Directors. Supports Category Directors in explaining financial results and responding to ad hoc questions. Participates in the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Contributes to various special projects and prepares ad hoc analyses for management. The profile that can truly own the role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role required. Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written, required. Professional accounting designation (CPA) obtained. Strong proficiency with computer tools, including advanced Excel.
