Job Description Identifies, separates from scrap and grinds bottles and performs which can be reused in the manufacturing process. Essential Functions Provide visual and aesthetic inspection of product scrapped from production processes in SBM and RHB. Separates rejected material into scrap and regrindable material. Grinds material deemed reusable in the manufacturing process, weighs and reports weight of regrind daily. Responsible for staging regrind as directed by Production manager. Provide general housekeeping duties for assigned area daily and weekly and submits report daily. Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP) Other duties as assigned Position Requirement Manual Dexterity -- The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Fork-lift - The ability to operate forklifts according to OSHA standards. Must be eligible to become certified within first 23 hours of work. Mechanical aptitude - The ability to use hand tools. Forklift certification - The ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner consistent with OSHA standards Information Ordering -- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations). Near Vision -- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Extent Flexibility -- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Wrist-Finger Speed -- The ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Multilimb Coordination -- The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. Lifting Requirements -- Ability to lift 30 pounds over head to total height of six feet Walking/Standing ---Requirements ability to walk and or stand for 12 hours per day. Authorities Perform essential functions and assigned duties while communicating any deviations from the requirements to management Report any safety concerns to management and to shut down any equipment that presents a safety hazard Shutdown grinding equipment for any mechanical issues that could affect the quality of the regrind or safety to their person Organization Relationships Report directly to Production Manager for purposes of scheduling, performance evaluation, and compensation assessment. Directly reports to Production Manager for product requirements, quality requirements, and overall departmental goals; Indirectly reports to Shift Supervisor for direction of day-to-day responsibilities.
