Location: Hickman Hospital Department: Surgery Weekly Hours: 0 Status: Per Diem Shift: Days (United States of America) Job Summary: As a Surgical Services Clerk at ProMedica, you will make appointments and schedule surgical procedures. You will provide support to clinical staff and keep records of departmental activity. Accountabilities Understands scheduling system, able to schedule procedures accurately and expediently. Process charts in a timely manner , accurately and consistently. Maintains records and statistics as required . Collaborates with all members of the health care team and physician offices to promote a seamless patient care continuum. Facilitates prompt, efficient patient services through organizing, prioritizing, and performing clerical activities. Acts as a resource to physicians and staff regarding departmental issues. Demonstrates good phone etiquette, perceived as helpful / friendly to all customers. Fields phone inquiries appropriately. Displays professionalism at all times and maintains patient confidentiality. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives , quality assurance programs and safety standards. Orders office supplies and maintains office inventory.
