About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join our MEP supervision team for construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring mechanical installations to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable international standards. The role will support project delivery through effective quality control, site inspections, testing verification, and coordination with contractors and consultants. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems including: HVAC Systems Chilled Water Systems Ventilation Systems Plumbing & Drainage Systems Water Supply Systems Fire Fighting Systems LPG Systems (where applicable) Pump Rooms and Mechanical Equipment Review Inspection Requests (IRs) and conduct inspections promptly. Verify compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements. Monitor installation quality and identify non-conforming works. Raise observations and NCRs and monitor corrective actions. Maintain inspection records, reports, and quality documentation. Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams. Witness pressure testing, flushing, balancing, testing, and commissioning activities. Support review of material submittals and mechanical technical documentation. Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 5-8 years of UAE experience in mechanical inspection and supervision. Mandatory experience on Dubai Municipality and Dubai Civil Defence regulated projects. Experience in hospitality, residential high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Skills Strong understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting Systems. Knowledge of DM, DCD, and local authority inspection procedures. Ability to review mechanical drawings and specifications. Strong reporting and documentation skills. Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
