Responsibilities
- As an experienced CorpSec professional, you will lend your expertise to a wide range of tasks, including:
- Provide support and address day-to-day issues and queries from PVE team members in relation to Corporate Secretarial work, including monitoring of CorpSec email inbox
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including ASIC, clients and teams from all Grant Thornton Australia offices
- Tracking and management of ASIC lodgements, following up clients as required to ensure that lodgement due dates are met
- Draft documentation to effect changes to companies, including (but not limited to) change of directors / proprietors, addresses, issue and transfer of shares
- Company registration, change of company name, address, change of proprietors and deregistration / cessation
- Establishment of discretionary and unit trusts
- Attend to Annual Company Statements and ASIC invoices
- Maintain knowledge and keep up to date on changes to Corporations Act and ASIC requirements
- Help provide coaching and training opportunities to other team members and proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Other ad hoc tasks, including updating and maintaining data in client databases, preparing fees, scanning and filing, performing company searches
Requirements
- Required
- Significant experience in a corporate secretarial, corporate governance or compliance role (professional services experience highly regarded)
- Understanding of the Corporations Act and ASIC requirements
- Highly organised and collaborative, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Desirable
- Experience in the use of corporate secretarial software (such as CAS360) would be advantageous
