About the role
We are seeking a Work Control Planner to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory ! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review detailed work packages for operations, maintenance, and modification activities within assigned facilities or areas.
- Prepare time, material, and labor estimates to support accurate planning and execution of work activities.
- Write clear step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and documentation to ensure safe and efficient task completion.
- Incorporate safety requirements, testing criteria, and regulatory compliance into all work planning documentation.
- Coordinate planning activities related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiological equipment and systems.
- Evaluate and apply applicable policies, procedures, and technical requirements to planned work scopes.
- Identify and resolve work restraints to ensure readiness for field execution.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel to ensure work packages meet technical and operational requirements.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of documentation prior to work execution.
- Support the closure of completed work packages by confirming documentation, testing results, and required approvals are finalized.
Requirements
- Education & Years of Experience - Bachelor's Degree in 5+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Citizenship - To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
- Clearance - To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
