Trail Crew Machine Operator (Summer Season)

Responsibilities

• Operate mini excavators; skid steer/loader experience an asset
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
• Build new trails and maintain existing trail networks
• Shape berms, grade tread, and construct trail features
• Lead and support ground crew members
• Assist with bridge and wood feature construction
• Maintain clean, organized worksites and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience building mountain bike trails with machinery
• Minimum 1 year experience as a machine operator (preferred)
• Understanding of drainage and sustainable trail design
• Ability to work in rugged outdoor terrain
• Leadership experience preferred
• Physically fit and safety-focused
• Valid, clean BC Class 5 Driver's License
• Chainsaw experience is an asset
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Vernon, BC before starting work
• Wage- $23.00-$28.00 / hour
• 40hr/ week
