Responsibilities

  • Content Distribution
  • Reviewing client requests, creating proposal decks, ensuring smooth material delivery, and maintaining engagement via newsletters and our website.
  • Partner App & PayTV Consumption Growth Strategy
  • Extracting data and analyzing why smaller apps underperform, identifying growth opportunities, forecasting trends, and analyzing monthly consumption trends.

  • Assisted with content compliance checks and provided operational support to acquisition, programming, and commercial teams for smooth content licensing workflows.

Requirements

  • WHO ARE YOU:
  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Media Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems/Systems Management
  • Strong interest in media, broadcasting, and OTT platforms, particularly within Astro's content ecosystem (TV, On Demand, and digital platforms)
  • Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS), metadata tagging, and content ingestion workflows is an advantage
  • Keen eye for detail, especially in content categorisation, scheduling accuracy, and quality control
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to write clear, concise content descriptions is a plus
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of content data, including titles, synopses, and media assets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with digital tools or basic technical troubleshooting is an added advantage
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced broadcast environment
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn within a dynamic media and entertainment setting
  • Passion for local and international content (e.g. drama, sports, variety shows) and awareness of audience trends is a plus
