Responsibilities

  • Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services (as appropriate), and coordinating financial reporting.

  • Inspect facilities and recommend building or equipment modifications to ensure emergency readiness and compliance to access, safety, and infection control regulations.
  • Maintain awareness of advances in healthcare, computerized diagnostic and treatment equipment, data processing technology, government regulations, health insurance changes, and financing options.
  • Monitor the use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.
  • Plan, implement and administer programs and services in a health care or medical facility, including personnel administration, training, and coordination of staff.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (AA) in Nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in health-related field Required
  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in health-related field Preferred
  • 4-6 years Previous nursing leadership experience Required
  • Proficiency in clinical decision making and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft products Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Registered Nurse Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) (United States of America) Required
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Preferred
  • Must have 4-6 years experience in area of responsibility

Minimum Hiring Wage: From $145,061.53 a year Job Details: Variable Day Shifts | Will Oversee Multiple Departments for Critical Care and Cardiovascular Services Including: Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Care Unit, Heart & Vascular, Respiratory Therapy & Sleep Lab. BSN required, MSN preferred, CCRN preferred. 5-7 years progressive leadership in critical care or cardiovascular services. Experience with critical care, respiratory therapy services, Cath lab, and sleep lab preferred. Job Description: A Brief Overview Provides direction and leadership for care delivery in the assigned unit(s). Plans and implements nursing budgets, monitors nursing productivity reports and collaborates with other leaders to facilitate favorable financial performance. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based practices, and ensures compliance. Supervises staff and plays an integral role in departmental operations, including but not limited to; recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, promoting, discharging, assigning work, evaluating, rewarding, and disciplining. Actively supports and participates in shared governance.
