Job Summary We are currently seeking a Director of Distribution Excellence (DDE) for the National Redistribution Center (NRDC). This role will serve as a key business partner to regional and site leadership, driving the prioritization, execution, and sustainment of high-impact initiatives that improve operational performance, standardization, readiness and long-term business outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of distribution operations knowledge, program/project leadership, process transformation, cross-functional collaboration, data-analytics mindset and change management expertise. This leader will help shape and guide strategic efforts across the network by identifying opportunities, aligning stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and ensuring initiatives are executed effectively and consistently across sites. The position is best suited for a leader who can operate at both the strategic and execution levels - someone who can influence direction, remove barriers, and ensure meaningful business improvements are realized across the region. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and oversee strategic operational initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities, operational goals and enterprise objectives Drive project prioritization and portfolio visibility within the NRDC by helping leadership assess initiative value, urgency, impact, dependencies, and resources needs Serve as a thought partner and advisor on distribution center operations, helping leaders evaluate tradeoffs, risks, opportunities, and implementation readiness related to operational changes Help establish and reinforce governance mechanisms that ensure initiatives are properly scoped, prioritized, communicated, and sustained Prepare and deliver executive-level updates, recommendations, and status communications related to strategic regional initiatives, risks, progress, and business impact. Provide leadership for distribution-related projects and network initiatives, including but not limited to: Facility start-ups Operational transitions Process redesigns Site optimization efforts Remodels/retrofits Standardization and best-practice deployment Minimum Requirement Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience. Education 4-year degree in Supply Chain & Logistics Management or equivalent experience required, Master's Degree in Operations and Distribution Management (Supply Chain) a plus Management preferred. Critical Skills 7+ years' operational experience and knowledge in distribution or manufacturing Expertise in operational processes, with a focus on quality and attention to detail Project/Program Management experience with business acumen and the ability to work in a matrix organization Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred Strong Data-Analytics mindset; Skilled in generating reports and gathering insights through various software and systems Must be able to work in a highly regulated environment, with interaction with DEA, FDA, and OSHA Willingness to travel up to 20% Additional Knowledge & Skills The ability to establish partnerships, influence and collaborate across multiple levels of an organization Experience with process automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, SQL and Smartsheets) is a plus The ability to think and manage through ambiguity Results oriented. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
