Job purpose We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our growing PHINIA SCM team as a Supplier Quality Engineer. This position will support us in supplier quality management function.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing team to review the quality system of potential supplier, support potential supplier assessments.
• Conduct audits, technical assessments and process review and follow up corresponding actions.
• Support SDE about supplier APQP activities and drive improvement with supplier.
• Monitor the progress of the supplier PPAP and ensure final submission and approval.
• Support resourcing and supplier VAVE activities.
• Follow up supplier change status and push the change move forward
• Monitor supplier performance.
• Coordinate resolution of supplier quality problems.
• Perform process audit to supplier.
• Conduct supplier quality training at supplier.
• Administer corporate and departmental procedures.
• Support production line FTQ improvement.
• Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing and the supplier.
• Other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or above with a major in engineering or equivalent. technical or mechanical is plus.
• At least 5 years of SQE/SDE experience in automotive industry. Be familiar with IATF16949 or VDA 6.1 quality system and good command of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5W quality tools
• Good command of English in oral and writing
• Good command of MS.Office
• Proficient in print reading and interpretation and part measurement
• Demonstrated knowledge of geometric design and tolerance and gage design and function
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities and equipment
• Knowledge of corporate and division supplier quality standards, policies and procedures.
• Good Communication skill and negotiation skill
• Able to travel as required
• Able to work under pressure
