NBC4 in Washington, DC is looking for a Platform Manager (Newscast Producer) for newscasts. Responsibilities include: Responsible for the overall editorial content on one or more platforms produced by WRC Serve as one of the primary Line Producers of assigned daily newscast Work with Content Producers to select the most compelling and relevant stories Work with the production team to ensure smooth and seamless productions Work with Executive Producer and Assignment Editor to ensure the most complete local news coverage Work with digital team to incorporate social/digital/streaming content into newscast Produce content that can cross platforms for our digital, streaming and OTT apps, and our sister station, Telemundo 44 Play an active role in the editorial process Write, produce, edit video, and gather content for all platforms Effectively manage a pool of Content Producers, coaching and mentoring as needed Ensure fairness, accuracy, and balance in reporting, upholding the standards of NBC4 This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
