Your day-to-day responsibilities Support the implementation of the Configuration Management Standard Operating Procedures (CM SOPs) by executing daily CM administrative tasks and ensuring process compliance. Perform data entry and maintain accurate product baselines within PLM and MES systems under the guidance of the team. Drive and administer the change management workflows; route ECRs, ECOs, Deviations, and Waivers for approval, track their status, and prepare agendas/minutes for reviewers/approvers. Assist in updating and maintaining EBOMs, MBOMs, and associated document lists (CIDL/ABCL) to reflect approved changes. Ensure that new parts and documents strictly adhere to established item classification schemes and part numbering conventions. Act as an ambassador for the PLM and MES platforms, proactively guiding cross-functional teams on CM best practices and effective system utilization to drive adoption, streamline workflows, and protect data integrity. Generate regular configuration status reports and extract CM metrics to support the team's KPI tracking. Maintain organized configuration records and ensure all documentation is properly archived and accessible for audits.

Requirements

  • Engineering background (Bachelor's in electrical, electronics, mechanical, aerospace, or a relevant engineering discipline).
  • Prior experience in configuration management or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing large amounts of data and documentation.
  • Understanding of the distinction between EBOM and MBOM, product breakdown structures, and item classification methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience using tools like PLM, ERP, MES or document management systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill, Teamcenter, SAP).
  • Ability to communicate technical and process-related information clearly across diverse teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations, and to support alignment in a cross-functional environment.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Exposure to the aerospace, defense, or automotive manufacturing industries.
  • Basic awareness of configuration management standards (e.g., ECSS-M-ST-40, EIA-649) or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with algorithm development and AI tools for creating automations and tools for day-to-day tasks.
  • Familiarity with software version control tools (e.g., Git, Jira) or software development lifecycles.
  • Experience in drafting technical documentation or standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience in a manufacturing scale-up or transition environment.
