Full Consideration Date: 04/26/2026 Job Description: Primary Function: Provides strategic leadership and oversight of the university's civil rights compliance programs, including Title IX, Title VII, equal opportunity, affirmative action, and disability compliance; ensures institutional compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and regulations by directing complaint resolution processes, administering required programs and reporting, and serving as the university's Title IX and Section 504/ADA Coordinator; advises senior leadership on matters involving discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, and retaliation, and serves as the primary liaison with external regulatory agencies; promotes a campus environment that supports accountability and compliance with civil rights obligations through policy development, training, and cross-campus collaboration. Qualifications: Master's degree or professional doctorate plus at least five years of progressively responsible experience in civil rights investigations, affirmative action and equal opportunity, or bachelor's degree plus at least 9 years of progressively responsible experience in these areas, required. Demonstrated advanced written and oral communication skills and a strong understanding of the application of civil rights laws within a public university setting required. Must possess Title IX Administrator and Investigator certification or obtain certification within 12 months of hire. Experience in prevention programming, collaboration with community or student organizations, conflict resolution and mediation, and staff supervision preferred. Certification as a Title IX Decision Maker, ADA/Section 504 Coordinator or EO/AA Officer also preferred.
