Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Benefit Eligible Yes Screening Date 2026-05-04 Job Description Summary Working in conjunction with the Office of the Provost and the Office of Admission, this position directs university transfer initiatives across all campuses, including Miami Online, by establishing and maintaining: transfer pathways and articulation agreements with external partners, credit for prior learning assessment structures, and Ohio Department of Education (ODHE) regulation alignment regarding external credit (like OT36, TAG, CTAG, etc.). As part of a cross-functional leadership group, this role will help advance the university's mission of increasing access, academic mobility, and student success for transfer, adult, and nontraditional students. This role requires a high degree of professional presence and the ability to communicate with confidence and clarity when engaging with senior-level administrators and executive leadership, both internally and across external partner institutions. To accomplish this, the individual in this position will need to collaborate both internally and externally. Within the university they will work across academic and administrative units, including: the Bursar's Office; Student Financial Aid; EMSS Research and Analytics; and divisional academic advising offices. Externally, they will work with peers at other institutions of higher education on program pathways, serve as a representative in state and national networks focused on transfer policy and innovation, and help coordinate regional transfer summits. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Transfer Initiative Leadership Represent that Office of the University Registrar in transfer credit related university strategic planning and events. Chair the Miami Transfer Collaborative, meeting monthly with admission, enrollment management, academic affairs, academic advising, and student success offices Serve on the OATN (Ohio Articulation and Transfer Network) Oversight Board, representing the university in regional transfer summits. Serve as a university representative in key state and regional forums, including National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS), Ohio Transfer Council (OTC), and Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE). Monitor policy developments and communicate implications for institutional strategy and operations. Serve on the Office of the University Registrar leadership team, the EMSS extended leadership team, and various divisional and institutional committees; represent Miami University at conferences and on select committees nationally. Articulation, Compliance and Partnerships In tandem with the Associate Director of Curriculum, Accreditation, and State Alignment , serves as one of the institutional administrators for the Course Equivalency Management System (CEMS), uploading syllabi/assessments, and tracking "pending" or "rejected" proposals for resubmission. Working with the transfer admission team, manage the guided transfer pathways and domestic articulation agreements with partner institutions to facilitate the smooth transfer of credits. Collaborate with academic departments and academic advising stakeholders to ensure curriculum alignment, transfer compatibility, and supporting students with understanding and navigating transfer options. Regularly review and recommend updates to transfer credit and credit for prior learning policies and procedures to reflect evolving standards and best practices. Develop and deliver resources, workshops, and communication tools that assist students and internal stakeholders with the transfer process. Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Coordination Develop, implement, and manage processes related to CPL and PLA, including portfolio assessments, challenge exams, and credit evaluation of military or work-based learning. Ensure consistency in policies and practices and maintain compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. Coordinate with faculty, registrar staff, and external evaluators to assess and award credit for demonstrated learning. Establish and chair a cross-functional CPL/PLA advisory committee to guide implementation and advocacy. Create and maintain a comprehensive CPL Manual and website that serves as a centralized resource. Stay informed of national best practices (e.g., CAEL standards) and integrate innovations that promote academic and career alignment. Data Reporting and Strategic Analysis Working with the Office of Admission, EMSS Research and Analytics, and the Provost's Office this position will: Collect, analyze, and report data on transfer student outcomes, articulation effectiveness, and CPL utiliza
