In this newly created role you will work within our Credit & Accounts Receivable team, acting in a senior position working closely with our customers and the Team Lead. You will have the opportunity to: Conduct detailed financial and credit risk analysis to assess opportunities and provide sound credit recommendations Prepare and present high-quality credit submissions, risk assessments and portfolio reviews to support decision-making Monitor and manage existing credit exposures, identify emerging risks and recommending mitigation strategies Partner with Head of Department at Z to ensure credit activities are compliant while supporting business growth Review, refresh and make recommendations on Z Credit Policy Compile monthly and ad-hoc reports for the credit function and assist with preparation of financial month end credit processes Use your commercial knowledge to partner with existing and prospective clients What you'll bring to Z Strong credit experience with a focus on risk assessment along with a deep understanding of the fundamentals of assessing credit risk Sound general financial knowledge to assess statements and make recommendations Experience in complex, commercial environments with excellent business acumen Good knowledge of the economic landscape and the ability to see emerging risks A strong focus on continuous and process improvement Excellent communication skills to work with a range of stakeholders, support the team, lead meetings and liaise directly with clients And of course, you'll be passionate about what matters to Z, embracing and living our values to help us deliver on our aspirations and broader commitment to Aotearoa New Zealand. Our Credit team are responsible for assessing creditworthiness of new and existing customers, receipting daily payments and collection action on any unpaid accounts.
